Aldanya's Legacy Lives On: Remembering the Swiss Techno Star Who Inspired and Energized Audiences Worldwide

Swiss-born DJ and producer Aldanya, whose real name was Crystal Margaret, has tragically passed away after a courageous fight with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She died on Sunday, January 19, at the age of 30, leaving behind a profound impact on the electronic music world.

In 2023, Crystal's cancer diagnosis prompted her family and friends to launch a fundraiser for her treatment and recovery, raising over £15,000 to support her during her challenging battle.

Crystal's musical journey began in a family of musicians, where she learned classical piano from an early age. She later developed a passion for dance music during her teenage years and self-taught herself DJing at home. After studying at London’s Point Blank Music School, she took on the DJ name Aldanya and went on to perform at renowned venues like fabric, FOLD, Werkhaus, Village Underground, Warm Up Festival, and The Steelyard.
